Steven Blakey, B.A., J.D.

Steven graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in June 2017. He commenced Articles at Waldman & Associates the same month.

In addition to law, Steven’s interests are diverse and varied. Prior to commencing law school, he worked in the field of network security and co-founded a start-up venture aimed at advancing the security best practices of small and mid-size organizations. During his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, Steven studied political science, history and philosophy – with a special interest in philosophy of mind and cognitive science.

During law school, Steven was a volunteer caseworker at the Community & Legal Aid Services Program. He also participated in a semester-abroad exchange at Bar Ilan University in Israel, and he received the McMillian LLP Award for academic excellence.

Steven is a member of the executive of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers (CARL).
